Answers to the questions parents ask us most. Tap a question to see the answer.
What does Fans in the Standz do?
It takes the team calendars for all your kids, keeps just the events you care about (usually the games), and puts them together in one calendar.
You can add that calendar to your own phone, or share it with family and friends. When a coach changes a game time, everyone's calendar updates by itself. Nobody has to send a group text.
What are “sources” and “feeds”?
They're the two words you'll see most on your dashboard.
- A source is one calendar you bring in, like your son's baseball team calendar.
- A feed is the calendar you make from your sources. You choose which sources go in and what to keep. The feed is what you share and add to calendar apps.
Most families need one feed, with one source for each team.
Where do I find my team's calendar link?
Most team apps and school or league websites can share their schedule as a calendar link. In apps like TeamSnap, GameChanger, and SportsEngine, look on the schedule screen for words like “Subscribe,” “Sync calendar,” or “Export.”
Copy the link it gives you. It starts with https:// or webcal:// and often ends in .ics. Then, on your dashboard, choose Add source, give it a name, and paste the link.
Tip: name each source after your kid and their sport, like “Bobby Baseball.” That name is added to the front of every event, so everyone can tell whose game it is.
Can't find it? Ask your coach or team manager for the “calendar subscribe link,” or send us a message below.
How do I show only the games and hide practices?
When you create or edit a feed, use the filter boxes. You have two choices:
- Hide what you don't want. In “Exclude events whose title contains,” type words separated by commas, like Practice, Meeting, Snack.
- Keep only what you do want. Tick “Exclude Everything,” then type words in “Always include events whose title contains,” like Game, Tournament. Only events with those words show up.
Capital letters don't matter, and a word matches anywhere in the title, so “game” also matches “Pregame.”
How do I share the games with Grandma (or anyone else)?
On your dashboard, find your feed and tap the envelope button next to its name. Type Grandma's email address and tap Send.
She gets an email with a button. It opens a page where she picks the calendar she uses (iPhone, Google, or Outlook), and the games appear in it. She doesn't need an account or a new app.
Share with one email address at a time. Repeat for each person.
How do I put the games on my own phone's calendar?
On your dashboard, tap Add to calendar under your feed, then pick the calendar you use:
- Apple for the Calendar app on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
- Google for Google Calendar. This works best on a computer. Once it's added, the games show up on your phone too.
- Outlook or Office 365 for Microsoft calendars.
Your phone asks you to confirm, and that's it. New games and changes show up on their own.
A game time changed. Why hasn't my calendar updated yet?
Updates aren't instant. Two things happen on their own schedule:
- We check each team calendar for changes several times a day.
- Your calendar app checks us for changes on its own timetable. Apple Calendar usually catches up within a few hours. Google Calendar can take up to a day, and there's no way to make it hurry.
For a game happening today, the team app or your coach is the safest place to check the latest time.
Who can see my kids' schedule?
Only people who have your feed's link: you and anyone you share it with. The link isn't listed or searchable anywhere.
Anyone who has the link can see the games, though, and they could pass it on. So share it only with people you trust. For extra privacy, edit your feed and set an Access key. If you ever change the key, the old link stops working, and you'll need to share the new one again.
I forgot my password. How do I get back in?
On the log in page, type your email address and tap Email me a sign-in link. We'll email you a link that logs you straight in. It works once and expires after 15 minutes. Once you're in, you can set a new password on the Settings page.
A calendar says “Not found” or “No events.” What do I do?
That usually means the team's calendar link has expired or changed, which often happens at the start of a new season. Your other calendars keep working.
Get a fresh link from the team app (see “Where do I find my team's calendar link?” above). Then, on your dashboard, tap the pencil next to that source, paste the new link, and save.
How much does Fans in the Standz cost?
As of October 2026, we are in an early release (MVP) stage, and all features are free. Once we're satisfied with the stability and features, we plan to charge approximately $20 per year.
